Psychological First Aid Instructor

Psychological First Aid Instructor Candidates will follow the Instructor Development Pathway. The course consists of two components:

• Fundamentals of Instruction of the Canadian Red Cross (first 2 days of the course)
• Discipline Specific Psychological First Aid Instructor (second 2 days of the course).

Your course will be instructed by a Canadian Red Cross Certified Psychological First Aid Instructor Trainer or Master Instructor Trainer.

Pre-course Requirements:
• 18 years of age
• Fundamentals of Instruction (online and in-class) – This will be issued upon registration of the course.
• Psychological First Aid certification (should you require the learner level certification, click here for a list of upcoming course dates)

Completion Criteria:
• Successfully complete the in-class microteaching segments, as assigned by your Instructor Trainer
• Adhere to the Canadian Red Cross Standards of Behaviour and the Group Charter
• Attend and participate in 100% of the course—this includes active, directed contributions at all scheduled sessions
