In order to recertify your First Aid &/CPR Instructor Certification must be meet the following four criteria:

1.  You are a current non expired Red Cross First Aid & CPR Instructor (CPRI or FAI) * as of Oct 2025, you can have an expired certification up to 6 months and qualify for the recertification.
2. That the chosen course date is before your current certification expiry date * as of Oct 2025, you can have an expired certification up to 6 months and qualify for the recertification. If you are unsure if you can recertify please contact the Canadian Red Cross at 1-877-356-3226 for assistance.
3. You have taught a minimum of 3 Red Cross First Aid &/or CPR courses since your last recertification (of which must be of the highest level you wish to recertify to CPR/AED Level C or Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C).
