With this course, you will thoroughly understand workplace hazards and their risks to health and safety. Plus, you will learn a step-by-step process for identifying, assessing, and controlling hazards in your workplace. This course is perfect for all members of the workplace, including employers, managers, supervisors, and workers.

Prerequisites & Completion
At the end of the course, participants must complete a multiple-choice test. Participants that do not achieve 100% can review the course content and re-take the test until the desired result (100%) is achieved. Test questions are randomly selected from a test bank, making each testing experience unique.

Certification
Upon successfully completing all modules, there is a printable certificate for your records.

Course Content
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Know that identifying and dealing with workplace hazards is required by law
  • Define the terms workplace hazard, health hazard, safety hazard, adverse health effect and risk
  • Identify and explain the steps involved in the workplace risk assessment process
  • Understand “the hierarchy of control” as it applies to workplace hazards
  • Define and differentiate between engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE
  • Recognize the importance of risk assessment monitoring and review
  • List the required written documentation pertaining to the risk assessment process
