Option #1: Fundamentals of Instruction (FOI) A course for current BLS, First Responder or an Emergency Medical Responder Instructors from another organization that would like to become a Red Cross Professional Responder Instructor. For more information visit – PR Instructor Transfer

 

Pre-requisites:

  • Current Instructor Certification
  • 18 years of age

 

Steps to obtain certification:

  1. Skills Assessment
  2. Fundamentals of Instruction online + 2 days in class
  3. Teaching Experience
  4. Certification

 

 

 

Option #2: Professional Responder Discipline Specific (PRI) is for current Water Safety Instructor (WSI), First Aid & CPR/AED Instructors (FAI), CPR Instructors (CPRI), or Youth Youth Facilitator with the Canadian Red Cross or current educators (Elementary or Secondary) that would like to become a Professional Responder Instructor. Instructor candidates must have a current learner level certification (BLS, FR, or EMR) in the level which they would like to instruct. For more information visit –PR Instructor Transfer
